Rapper CL is confirmed as a solo artiste on BigHit Entertainment’s Weverse. WeVerse’s Twitter made the official announcement. It was earlier speculated that the 29-year-old rapper will be making her way onto the Weverse platform.

After that, CL herself confirmed the news by simply tweeting the hashtag #CLonWeVerse. She chose to launch her official community on Weverse because the platform allows artists to communicate with fans all around the world. And rapper also has a wide international following. Fans of the rapper were quick to celebrate the announcement on social media.

Weverse is a global fan community platform launched by beNX, an entertainment platform company that is a subsidiary of Big Hit Entertainment. This platform features in-house artistes like BTS, TXT, GFriend, Seventeen, NU’EST and ENHYPEN. And it hosts multimedia content and facilitates artist-to-fan communications for K-Pop bands and musicians.
In addition, Weverse shared, “We welcome CL, who has long been actively promoting around the world in the top spot, to Weverse. We will support her with various services so that she can communicate with her global fans on Weverse and create synergy with her official activities.”
CL, whose real name is Lee Chae-rin, recently released her track POST UP along with a music video. Taking to Instagram, she said, ‘Post Up is a short video that I’m releasing ahead of my new album as a thank you to all of my GZBz’. After joining YG Entertainment at the age of 15, CL debuted as a member of the girl group 2NE1. The group went on to become one of South Korea’s most popular and successful girl groups worldwide.
